In this situation it kinda is. Maybe I just suck at reading, but I didn't see any hints towards his declining mental health, nor did he act like a sociopath earlier. All of a sudden he was like: "I see the father with which I had a poorly established relationship got rekt. Guess I'll be angry now *cue edginess*".

I don't mind slightly edgy mc's. But they need to be well established for them to come off as believable. Protags like Naofumi from Shield Hero (kind of) and Hajime from Arifureta have very clear motivations as to why they are the way they are. This dude just suddenly decided to be a sociopath. As a reader, it wasn't made very clear to me how he came to think the way he did.

Remember that before reincarnating, he was just some shut-in nerd. There's no way that he would suddenly be capable of massacring people like that.

MC was a ~21 shut-in before reincarnating now he is 30 year old (chapter 3.1)

he was bullied in middle school
and become a shut-in for 5 years

There's no way that he would suddenly be capable of massacring people like that.

but the author was lazy (9 years timeskip)

I assume he has a normal relationship with his family (hints in chapter 3.1 or 3.5)
and he has traits of a sociopath: antisocial, manipulative, liar, irritable, impulsiveness

At least some series try to give a revenge killing substance but this one doesn't seem to care much for it.
