This chapter didn't quite feel right-- the general setup has him wanting to work with other people as opposed to living alone in the cave, so he helps out by utilizing his unique skills to reshape the battlefield into a hugely advantageous form. Then it throws out the pretense of partnership by showing that he could've singlehandedly stopped the entire onslaught without much fuss, and he even had to take care of their injuries too. Time to see how the boss fight is going to play out, though.

Kinda worried if the dude turns a bit callused with all the killing of humanoids. At least they established that his character is helping the less fortunate, so I hope he doesn't turn into a knobhead

It's kind of like what happens when you surround a level 20 wizard with a party of level 1 of mixed classes; the lvl 20 wizard might have the intention of working together with the lvl 1s, but they ultimately don't need the lvl 1s to be there.

he coulda wiped the entire extermination by himself but realize that everyone else’s livelihood is important too. it’s not about being the best or getting the most. the premise of the story has ben about him living life in his own way and i think it does a great job following his characteristics. it’s a good parallel to his previous life too where he help tabuchi and supported him but didn’t do everything for them

wtf happened to the main group? goblin slayer must be happy but what?
@otaku97 in perspective of hunters or adventurers, it's basically stealing kills/glory and that sucks when pay gets cut because a party member over compensates. it's division during a raid. but in a situation where it's about extermination, it's really only there to add tension based of MC's personality. he's nervous and his personality is courteous though in latest chapters, he is trying to break out of that shell
@Meskie the slimes, reference to a previous chapter. combine to make a big/greater slime and [reduction] makes them small and compact. he has many slimes and as long as they're fed, they proliferate at exponential rates. question is which and what type is slime decided to fight. heal slimes are straight forward but which slimes picked up the weapons?
