As i said before, Chizuru's hardheadness is the problem (but also her prowess as an actress. She can fake emotions like a pro). She is starting to suspect Kazuya is doing this bc of her grief after Sayu's death and isn't liking it on the surface.

Kazuya is just doing fine considering the shit circumstances that cornered him to rent her (reminder: he tried to approach her both as a friend and as a neighbor, without success. And Miyajima likes the slow, but steady development) and his resolve is stronger than ever. Dammit, Chizuru, just let yourself be loved. What are you waiting for?? To let things escalate into a major conflict between kaz and you?

I've never seen a FMC as stubborn and impossible as her in a romcom. It seems like admitting defeat, give up on her and tell his granny the truth is going to be the key to success for him. Literally go for a "fission mailed" plan in case this date goes wrong.

If things with Chizuru go straight to hell, the most sane backup option is Sumi tbqh. Ruka is volatile, demanding and too hotheaded and Mami is just not well in her head.
