Kou 1 Desu ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita - Vol. 1 Ch. 5 - Bandage Girl

"Was I wrong in throwing them in prison out of spite?" Nah. After all, prisons were designed for fat, bald assholes to throw people they don't like in them, right? They're certainly not for people who actually did anything wrong. Hahaha, boy, that'd be weird.

Almost wondered if the caretaker eliminated the previous lord, but since our hyper-intelligent "average" Japanese students didn't pick up on it, I'll just have to shrug and declare "sorcery."

As for our local isekai-folks with character names: "Oh no! I'm too dumb to memorize a 1 page plan and write it down on extra planning paper." The small-timer's entire master-plan was foiled because the paper it was written on was stolen.

So why wouldn't he fire/execute the bald asshole who has been against him since he arrived?

So a mummy is...I don't even know. This story is so dumb. Good thing I love trash.

@Aelth - if I understand it correctly, the bald guy is a priest. Historical priests weren't really subordinates of the lord, and were appointed by the church, not mundane authorities.

Just following orders has never been a valid excuse for shitty behavior.

@flannan
At least not until Henry VIII broke with Rome and Founded the Church of England, with himself as the head.

Hiw much you guys wanna bet that no one alive in that town has ever met an elf and has no idea what would attract them?

@kenkagejack
Its not a matter of remembering the contents, its that unless it bears the signature and seal of the king, it doesnt mean shit. That blob of pressed wax and those few drops of ink are the difference between a sheet of scratch paper and a legal document.

Do these people know nothing of proper maintenance? Some of this reminds me of African cities when white flight occurred. High skilled jobs had to be filled by people who had no experience and not enough education. Everything falls apart on them because they are trying to work on a large scale with no skills developed from small scale up to grand scale type things. It makes me think the elves do not share knowledge
