Kouritsu-Chuu Madoushi, Daini no Jinsei de Madou wo Kiwameru - Vol. 5 Ch. 32 - I Refuse to Lose

@aFFi i disagree.
she appeared not even facing our mc, heck, it's almost her back that's dong the talking. can't really take that as aggressive.

and i agree that the emphasis on "my comrade" kind of misleading but her tired/disappointed face when saying that should be enough.
she probs just don't want to smear her name with the reputation of "doing nothing while her partner killed by some randos" and getting a disciplinary action or two.

@mage_goo I agree, if anything her position displays a quiet confidence, they're essentially cleaners for the council or whatever it's called.

what happen to the redrawing? are you just lazy? if you gonna do scanlations like this just dont better to just translate the text and leave the redrawing to others this was horrible quality thank you for the translations but otherwise what did you even do?

If the punishment this guy will receive isn't Shin Sekai Yori's "Eternal Hell" level of punishment, chances are, he'll just escape (probably on the same day he got captured while being transported) and be trouble again later. Good thing this doesn't seem to be a manga where side characters get killed by a villain with a vengeance off-screen. ...Or is it?

@exogriz it was a one hit enchantement.
As he don't have enough mana due to the cost to maintain and initial casting cost. And it follow the factorial function so it mean it cost 24 time the consumption of a mono element spell.

@eber123 nothing stops you or anyone else to do such job... Him doing it poorly doesn't affect the will of others who'd like to do it better...

@Saronite: [...]Not to mention the MC lived to be the top red magician and this guy is more skilled than he is?[...]
In his young body he has to start training all over again and he still hasn't reached his peak. Even with his experience, that other guy just overpowered him in strength, agility, speed and raw magic power, as I understood it.

@Qelix

i understand, it may be a small point point but the wording is what i was upset about. Saying "This guy is more skilled than i am" and "This guy is more skilled than i am right now" are two different things to me.

I enjoyed the chap, to say the least. So, eagerly waiting for the next installment.

@Saronite:Is it Page 20's "He's stronger and more skilled"? Well, in the future MC was a master of Red Magic (Wisest of all Red Magic users?) It's not that clear, if the author meant "overall skilled other magic" or "skilled in combat". Maybe it was badly translated or the author simply messed up, as you suggested. If you just strike out "and more skilled" or add "right now", it makes a lot of more sense. I for my part go with that and see, if that turns up again. Such minor slip-ups, while not beautiful, aren't that uncommon. There are far worse examples for bad writing out there and I'm sure you already came across them.?

Also, I believe she (that partner) came just, when the fight ended (or turned in favor for MC+party) (Maybe she also watched for sometime like an arsehole.) It's not that unthinkable, she jumped in there in that moment for some reason other, than "saving her poor partner". Though her stance is aggressive, as aFFi mentioned, for extra drama. Her stance would make sense, if she just saw the last few seconds. But if it turns out, that she saw everything from the beginning and didn't intervene, even though she could, for the sake of gathering evidence, while MC could have gotten killed, she is either a total bitch or this is truly bad writing. (Up until now it was very enjoyable.)

EDIT: Ah. Sorry forgot to add the @ and Saronite.

@Qelix

Thanks for the explanation! i guess we'll see what the author was thinking about with the partner in the next chapter!

Dafuq you mean put down your sword, your "comrade" nearly killed all of them! He even tried to torture them! You expect a victim of that to just "put down" his sword? What the fuck is wrong with you? Hope Zeff teaches her a lesson or something because that's just dumb.

Um... so this tells us that the exp system here isn't just dependent on who did the last hit? That can be the case I guess... but that was totally too powerful... when will he get to his upmost potential that is the ting that I want to know...

oh wow he won by using his cheat magic
wouldn't be a mediocre fantasy manga if he didn't to be quite honest
