Kouritsu-Chuu Madoushi, Daini no Jinsei de Madou wo Kiwameru - Vol. 6 Ch. 37 - Besieged maiden's heart

With the amount of fan service in the chapter I thought I was reading a shounen manga, but its actually seinen.....

@Zing It might be tagged as seinen but I don't see any reason why it couldn't be classified as shounen. The struggles the characters go through are very much like shounen (the main character finding "friendship" and it becoming his support on his adventure, or the knight girl struggling to fit as a woman on her "knightly duty"). There aren't any explicit or graphic scenes (that I remember) and it's also a generic harem story. So yeah, so far it feels a lot like a shounen. It might change on the future.

wow, this is a harem adventure done right. So massages replace the smut? Not bad. This isn't a hentai after all.

so the maiden's heart the title refers to was someone else other than the 3
that was a good lead up to a twist

@macarroiz
he's an old man
he can handle long hot baths

@firosahoge
I don't understand why, the harem (not even official) is one side and the MC will not do anything for a stupid reason (at the same time he has not noticed), this falls further into the romcom which is garbage.

@Garn
MC is an old man and he is only attracted to adult women
a 20 or 30 year age gap would have probably been fine for him (e.g. his homeroom teacher), but the 3 are pretty much children to him (>40 year age gap)

i suspect things are gonna be more fun now that there is someone who is closer to his strike zone joining the harem

this wolf woman needs the same massage server he just did to the other girls

@jonsmth
There is the problem
The MC "has not really realized" their feelings.
The fake harem will follow the MC until some development that will simply serve to postpone even more the time may never come to an end.
It is not because he was old or because of his tastes, this is repeated in many novels and manga, because the author wants to show a "mature" MC that is not tempted even though it is normal (and correct) and why this gives more for Japanese romcom developments (ignorance of the MC and moments of misunderstanding with some echi)

@Garn
@jonsmth

Honestly, I'm glad that the MC isn't a cradle robber.
(Also, Garn it isn't that the MC doesn't recognize it, as very early on he thought that they were all far too young for him. )

@Mangareader
"he thought that they were all far too young for him"
One thing is to be ignorant and another not to give importance, the same as always, only here the pretext is that it's mentally older and nothing more, it's as if the MC still does not accept the reality that I rejuvenate, and only when some event of separation happens will I realize (I doubt it), something very clicked

I have read many novels (raw and maybe that's why my tolerance is already saturated, for such amount of garbage MCs like this hetare/donkan/dull that authors like to use) and the authors' excuses are always at that level (because they don't know how to write those scenes or because they want to put comedy, echii and fanservice), of a herbivore and although it is not a jap MC there is not much difference.

@Garn
> The MC "has not really realized" their feelings.
At this point, it doesn't matter if the MC is aware of their feelings or not
they're just not in his radar
imagine realizing someone has a crush on you but he/she isn't your type - it's just gonna be troublesome and awkward

at the very least, he does treasure them

> because the author wants to show a "mature" MC that is not tempted even though it is normal
it has nothing to do with "maturity"
there is barely any hint of him constantly trying to hold back or anything
he just has zero attraction for them

trust me, you'd start to feel the same for people who are even just 10 years younger than you even if they were adults
it's not on the level of "i shouldn't", but more on the level of "ewww"
