@xMirage I was unsure of this for a while as well. However, the artist has clarified in her character profile (which can be viewed with a partial English translation here: https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/3667110 ) that it's a tattoo.

@Kita Hello. I've taken a look at the artist's provided description for the manga just now. The best way of wording it in English that I can come up with is "Nishiga Hachi plays the leading role in this comedy about living a day-to-day life with her friends". Someone else might come up with something more natural-sounding, but I hope this is of acceptable quality for the time being.
