Fran is good, but I can't add her to the list because she starts off weak and needs another's actual power too much in order to be strong (in this case, the power comes from Master the sword). I'd argue that because she has to grow in order to become a badass and rely on another's power, she's not the same as the others who are geniuses/prodigies from the get go.

But Fran is still awesome in a different way because we get to see her character grow and develop. The problem for character development with geniuses/prodigies is that there tends to be little room for growth for them. Like Toph from Avatar the Last Airbender, she essentially remains the same character from start to finish. But she's still awesome because they use her inability to change in a good way for the story. xD
