Lonely Attack on a Different World - Vol. 1 Ch. 6 - Just What is a Geek?

10 pages for biweekly manga is already on a small side, but scanlation is also have the same pace and 11 chapters behind... I should drop it for a year at least.

@cor3zone
On the contrary, I was more thinking about having the useless bunch in the class get the boot pronto, no chances given. Which will never be a thing anyway since the non-DQNs would probably find the idea too extreme (muh WE MUST STICK TOGETHER MINNA)

@CommieJohnTeh Well, then you just give them an excuse to abuse their powers then and there. From the looks of it, Gals+DQNs are the majority. They team up, overpower everyone else, and use them as slaves. Same situation. It's a fucking hard problem to solve.😅

should have formed their own group with people that earn their share and leave the others to the goblins, would like to see how the bitches scream "dont want to" to the goblines while the rape and kill them

I want to write this off as generic evil jerk isekai dudes, but then I remember high school, and there were definitely these types of mentally challenged morons there.

@CommieJohnTeh They would need to exile around half of the group. The exiles would then need to die, or they just made enemies of a group of similar size with similarly OP powers. And like you said, the 'good guys' are unlikely to willingly leave people to die.😊

Its flipping Grease all over again.

Leave the heavy lifters to do all the work while everyone else that's too 'pitiful' laze about.

First of all, please forgive my bad grammar and how awkward what I wrote is. English is not my native language so I know there will be a lots of mistakes.

Also, prepare for a long tirade.

Is really a 'generic evil jerk isekai dudes' as @saifors said. Yes, there are stupid people everywhere. Yes, there are really, reaaaally stupid people in this world, so stupid that is hard to believe. Even so, when survival is at risk and you face death as close as they did (even the delinquents where scared as heck), many times those stupid people are the first ones that tend to shup up and obey others if they believe that will allow them to survive; more so people like them (delinquets and gals) that feel the need to be part of a group so they can feel secure in their social lives.

I could have believed their attitude if the delinquents had felt their pride was being trampled by the others after the incident of the goblins, but so far (as manga and WN narrates if I remember right) nor the geeks nor the rest of their classmates seems to be belittling them, just asking them to cooperate with the rest of the group so all of them could survive.

The gal girls have even less motives to be arrogant after what happened. Yes, they could have been entitled b1tch3s back in their original world, but at this point they must know that: 1.- They are not in their world anymore (Magic, Monsters, etc). 2.- They don't have the skills to survive by their own (fighting skills or survival skills). And 3.- The people that have the knowledge and abilities they need to survive are the geeks, as they showed by saving the life of everyone (they were the first to act, motivating the rest to fight back too). So, no matter how stupid a person can be, it should be obvious that antagonizing the people that can help you survive is a really bad idea.

There really are not any motives nor logic explanation of why they still have that attitude aside from the author need of some villians so the MC can defeat and looks more virtuous in comparison.

Ah, don't get me wrong, I still find this story more or less interesting, if anything because I want to see where all this goes. It's just that I have become a little tired of this particular cliche of 'A group of people are summoned and only the MC and his future harem members are good guys while the rest are absolute trash'. It really hurts too see it so often.

Ah, thanks for the chapter, translator-dono! Really appreciated!

@JuliusCV You hit it right on the head; I feel like it's one of those cases where the author doesn't really understand human psychology.

why does their story seems so favorable to them?
hopefully they're not hiding something.

But, why did they have so much trouble fighting the goblins last chapter? The MC isn't super strong but he can beat at least 1 goblin by himself pretty fast. Granted most of his kills were surprise attacks, but he's not even lv10 or anything and the lv16+ group of 4 were overwhelmed by like 5? It looked like they did fine when they were just starting out but now they're having trouble?

As for the delinquents and gals this chapter, that seems kind of like they started thinking "Wait, why am I listening to those otaku nerds all of a sudden? They should be doing the work for me because I'm more popular/handsome/beautiful than them." Granted that's still really dumb but it's better than having literally 0 reason for the sudden attitude.
