^ this! Personally, I keep to myself but don't have problems communicating at all and have no problems talking to small crowds, it's just that socializing makes me feel really tired. MC here has a good heart, and if it means protecting the girls from possible "stalkers", of course he's going to use intelligence and social skills to get the truth out of them.
Would he just casually hang out with those loud guys? No. But communicating to understand their stance to protect the girls is no problem for him.

@Merilirem Yes, many people referring people that not have too many friend as "loner" but in fact reality they choose their friend carefully resulting very few friend, nowdays if you not careful enough choosing your friend risking bad influence, many bad thing can happen and sometime even worse (become criminal or radicalized), sometime this kind of people had more awareness of social environment.

AyyGiraffe it's not that he can't communicate and is introvert and so he prefered to be alone. he just doesn't like being surrounded with bunch of people.

Quite similar to me. Although Im quite choosy of my friends when I talk I can talk for the longest of times and can easily spent time with bunch of people when I'm in the mood but I do prefer the solitude more.
