Idk if this is the right forums to ask. I'm just wondering if mangadex has something like a notification when the manga that we followed has a new chapter?

nope, but you can go to the follows page and see what in your list has been updated.

this is a list of what they plan to do and have rejected. https://mangadex.org/thread/148705 In the rejected section they have rejected emails for Follows.

If you have questions on something in that thread I would recommend posting in the Suggestions section and state in the title that it is a question on ... .
