I think it was just him not being that good with danger. I mean, he did say that he has power but no experience which is why he joined a team, to learn. I don't think it's easy to know the right thing to do when you are under pressure.

Yeah, i was surprised he used such a weak rifle against the harpies, but it worked so whatever. As far as the big bird goes, he probably thought an eye shot would kill it, its accurate enough at close range. But this is a fantasy setting, maybe an RPG hitting its face would have hurt it but not killed it. But when it opened its mouth the RPG allowed far more damage when swallowed. As far as why he pulled it out now? its because the bullet didnt reach its brain or didnt do enough damage.

And he said that the warning is a sign of a nearby aircraft attack, meaning that giant bird is equal to an aircraft. Who the fuck single handedly shoot an aircraft with a rifle? He is still learning. Next time he shouldn't fuck up this badly anymore. Judging from everyone's real anger & frustration about the MC's lack of common sense (as MC really LACKS common sense right now. It's well established since earlier), he isn't a very good FPS player even if he's well known & probably he's infamous for exactly what you're all complaining about since the beginning. This MC simply isn't perfect & isn't OP enough to be the MC lol.

But we should read on. Probably he'll grow up & learn from his mistakes & be versatile enough.

That said, I think he's still gouging the situations he's facing & trying to make sense of everything mission by mission, although his thought process is slower than your average FPS player haha. It (reality) didn't quite get to him yet until the old man evaporated right in front of his eyes & that's why only now he pulled out the biggest 'gun' he had. Better late than never, maybe? He's insane this way but he has so much potential. Edit: I was right. He finally understands his stupid mistakes. Y'all better be at peace with him.
