I don't like the "I'm going to return to my world angle" most of the time because it's trash, either used to add tension or make the guy have reasons to do dangerous stuff, but here the entire reason is "let me go back to Japan because there's no multi-player servers here"
Yeah I get there is psychological shit and so on but the dude is scoring bitches and doesn't sleep he's a terminator with no personality just let him either fuck or he will grow edgy

What companions? Can't have any front line fighters cause they would easily get in a way. Magicians? Need to much attention in order to protect and even best magician deal less damage than grenade of MC. Priest? MC can heal. Navigator? MC has map function.
Any type of companion is useless to MC and would drag him down. Best way to go with this manga is to have researchers, merchants as friends and going solo in dungeons. At least it would be logical, realistic, original and you could just as easily develop character and his relationships as in generic manga.
