She came running as soon as he resumed work again (not that suspicious), followed him on his dangerous mission on which he is now alone with her (very suspicious), and now she's not there, when he is on enemy territory stuck between blonde Xena and a bunch of storm troopers in a dead end (very convenient). (Aside from her brown skin, she shares with the assassin, that her character officially got introduce right the next chapter and that dirty smile on page 18. Too many hints.)
