She is a native of this world, the translation of her title (Drifter) was a little bit confusing, by drifter it means "easily got swept along by the flow" instead of "transported/rencarnated person". It was because she's basically a yes man and often dragged into trouble because of that, just think of Kazuma from konosuba, she's basically like him, always got dragged into trouble, the difference is while Kazuma was caused by his (read: Aqua's) abysmal luck, Nell was caused by her yes man personality.
