Maya-san no Yofukashi - Vol. 3 Ch. 35 - A Proper Witch

you know what, I think she's a pretty decent witch
I wanna be able to materialize cup noodles and boil it in my sleep too

It's a "return to status quo" ending, but it's actually a good thing for Maya and Mameyama's friendship.

@SasazukaIchimashi

Ahh that makes sense. I'm pretty new so I'm not used to the way Japanese use kanji for phonetics while sometimes ignoring the meaning; like country names for example.

Also; you have good memory. There's no way I could have remembered her surname from previous chapters.

@infiniteinterface To be honest, I didn't remember her surname off the top of my head but I remembered that it was mentioned in that chapter where she was feeling dejected about how her co-workers treat her.

It looks like Maya uses her high school physical education uniform for pajamas, at least in summer. That's probably why her t-shirt has her surname on it.

Off-topic, I finally bought Flying Witch on Blu-Ray a few weeks ago. I watched it on Crunchyroll as it was airing and I have been buying the English-language translation of the manga but I just never got around to buying the anime on physical media until I was buying something else from an online anime store and thought I might as well check to see how cheap Flying Witch was, and it was cheaper than I expected (and I'm talking about the Sentai release, not any dodgy bootlegs).

Would it be fair to say that Maya thinks more highly of Mameyama than Mameyama thinks of Maya?

@SasazukaIchimashi

Bless you for supporting Flying Witch.

I haven't had disposable income for ages, so I never pay for anything. I haven't bought anything since Baccano and Spice and Wolf. When I do have money, I'll definitely pick up some Flying Witch merch in hopes that we get more content. It's one of those series that's a hidden gem, but because it has so little conflict or action, it's not very popular.
