Mazumeshi Elf to Yuboku gurashi - Vol. 2 Ch. 6 - Meemee Milk and Life Water

Thanks for the translation! I love this series, so thanks for picking it up. I want others to enjoy it, too, so I hope it gets popular.

This feels a bit too much content in 1 chapter. Still, thanks for the translation.

so, when exactly is he gonna try to find a way back home? like, legit hes just going day to day making shit but never wondering about how the fuck he got there or how he can go back? another thing is if there are no real humans in that world and the closest thing would be monkeys like that guy was calling him. are there only tribes and clans around or is only that area and cities are a thing with more advanced technology?

Isnt alcohol something that tales weeks?. Its not something that can be made within a day..... nevermind, its a very low alcoholic beverage called kumis, made from high sugar content milk called kumis. Once agitated along with yeast for about 1 day it gets an alcoholic content of about 3%. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumis

I was interested in the process he used for making alcohol, so I looked it up...
Apparently grapes typically have wild yeast on them, which can act as the starting agent.
And fermented/alcoholic milk IS a real thing - look up "kumis" (or "kefir").
To make strong alcohol though, you need sugar though - kumis usually uses horse milk which apparently has more lactose/sugar. Looking at some numbers from Wikipedia, I'd expect the alcohol content from "meemee milk" to be ~1.5%, if done correctly. ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kefir#Alcohol/ethanol_content )

Holy priestess is allowed the make life water by biting into danshacks. Anyone else who bites makes the life water corrupted. But as long as it's not bitten, anyone can make it, without the help of the holy priestess? Wat. I originally thought that life water was life water because it's made by holy priestess but I guess not.

@Treyon
Apparently alcoholic milk is made "over the course of hours or days, often while stirring or churning. "
I was kinda surprised by that too.

@juviegar I think this chapter was about fermenting rather than the foods, like yogurt and wine
