Yeah, but isn't he causing her a lot physiological damage by "taking her place"? She lost all of her comrades fighting the evil dragon she would of been able to defeat because of his interference. From what we can see from chapter 17, he is aware that his actions are causing her a lot of trauma but continues to get in her way. She still plans to live out her life as a hero by whatever means necessary, so I don't understand why he's trying to take her place.............is he going to take all of the achievements, skills, and power meant for her growth while she pursues darker methods in order to reach that power anyway? Only for it all to be meaningless since he is going to do her job for her?
I'm not sure if I buy this " i don't like her romantically" bullshit. He chose one of his cheat powers just so he could see her smile, then chose to take her place as the hero in his next life. You'd have to like someone more than family to dedicate your second life into making her life better in the long run.
Also, even though his class is villager, his real class is "plantmancer" thanks to the cheat from the goddess. Add the bonuses he got from dragon village and he might as well be a hero in disguise. So this whole "Im a villager, so what?" doesn't really hold any weight anymore to me.
