Murabito Desu ga Nani ka?

This dude needs to stop beating around the bush and pick a girl already, he's causing way more pain by leading them on like this.

@gaigous I think that's part of the issue actually, going by his dialog he values them highly but he is not romantically interested in them. It still would help if he would just tell them that but ... well it seems his Skill with words is Lvl 1 as he demonstrated already.

@gaigous Oh no, if it was that we would now have several chapters with him no Idea how he <beep>ed up and being confused by her reaction but he is at least aware what he did wrong and why(to my personal surprise)

You know what? this is just trying too hard to be psychological and failing and it feels all over the place, can't tell how much is the translation and how much is the original material, dropping it, not worth the stress.

why would he steal the position of hero if he let things be the world would've been fine and dandy but now it's destiny is unclear

@TheGoldenExperience That was part of his plan actually, he originally tried to
let things happen in the same manner as before but he couldn't watch her get hurt. So if I understood right he tries now to usurp her role to fix the damage he did and continue to keep her safe.

@theShear
Yeah, but isn't he causing her a lot physiological damage by "taking her place"? She lost all of her comrades fighting the evil dragon she would of been able to defeat because of his interference. From what we can see from chapter 17, he is aware that his actions are causing her a lot of trauma but continues to get in her way. She still plans to live out her life as a hero by whatever means necessary, so I don't understand why he's trying to take her place.............is he going to take all of the achievements, skills, and power meant for her growth while she pursues darker methods in order to reach that power anyway? Only for it all to be meaningless since he is going to do her job for her?

I'm not sure if I buy this " i don't like her romantically" bullshit. He chose one of his cheat powers just so he could see her smile, then chose to take her place as the hero in his next life. You'd have to like someone more than family to dedicate your second life into making her life better in the long run.

Also, even though his class is villager, his real class is "plantmancer" thanks to the cheat from the goddess. Add the bonuses he got from dragon village and he might as well be a hero in disguise. So this whole "Im a villager, so what?" doesn't really hold any weight anymore to me.

@PsychoJing
Never said it's a good plan, I mostly agree with you that currently he seems to make the situation worse. I can't really see his endgame here.
And the Villager thing did have some consequences (I think remember someone posting about it in detail on Batoto)
Also from what I understand he is really just a Villager, he just has some extra skills before he got the Dragonhax.
As for why he goes so far for someone he is not "romantically interested in" it's hard to say but he wouldn't be the first manga/anime character like that. I do believe them her being a reincarnator like him and the circumstances of his first death play a role in it. Unless of course he just isn't aware of his own feelings but we have to see later for that.

Either manga got all kinds of incoherent, or ch.18 translation is just confusing

this series not worth reading just a bunch of random events popping up from all over the place

Okay but
What ever happened to the sage of chapter one? Does he appear again later on, or was that just a convenient plot device? Will his disappearance/omission in this timeline be explained?

The protagonist is dumb, he gets stronger to protect a girl that he doesn't even seem to like in the first place. She get PTSD thanks to him and he just leave her on her own. For what? to go roam around the world with another girl he barely cares about. he never shows emotions, I think a slime would have more humanity then this nonsensical MC. sorry this is just bad

I'm guessing the reason this is rated so low is cuz it's not ecchi and the MC doesn't go around banging chicks and making harems.

It's one of my favorite isekais and reincarnated stories, the MC is OP but he frequently needs help and the fights still have tension and meaning. It also tackles the issue of what happens to the other heroes when their main foes are defeated for them, which is something you almost never see. Plus it puts bad guys on the backburners for later and the powers/abilities are interesting and different from most other isekais. 10/10 from me, but 1/10 if you want alpha echhi cartoon porn.

@anonftwtf It has a low rating because people like to sip on wine and critize things without actually reading them. They skim through these mangas and then just make a blanket statement so unless something INCREDIBLY DIFFERENT happens they won't actually read it. That's just how the isekai genre is, the manga is great and indepth with how things could change when other heroes have their foes defeated for them and it's all neat and swell but again people like to act like yelp reviewers from south park with the isekai genre.

I was wondering when that asswipe would make his reappearance. I'm happy to see he was never a nice guy from the beginning. Seeing him get killed eventually is gonna be SO good!

@Keimichi that was the guy at the end of the chapter talking about talent-less people being sinners and only being good for bait.
