A spare or two could have made it into Korea after WWII as reserve/rear echelon armaments for the ROK. That being said, it looks like ol' vlad here thinks it's a straight-pull...

@DemonHide the US made SMLEs? It doesn't seem so far fetched given Americas pre-involvement WWII support but I've never seen or heard about US made No4s. Do you know who manufactured them? I need to do some reading...

@potatoesriceandbread That's right, Savage produced a very small actually quite large quantity of No.4 Mk I Lee-Enfield rifles at their factory in Chicopee Falls. Here's a general article about No. 4's that makes the claim and here's a forum thread about a particular rifle.
