I believe he thinks it won't really be a problem. It's not like there would be another group of kidnappers headed by a former elite knight or something. With another strong person in the party, he can just sit back and do nothing. Nobody will doubt that his party is able to take on the harder quests with her around. Conversely, it might make him suspicious if the two of them alone are to overachieve. He also doesn't want Toa to attract attention.

I'm kind of surprised by how much Toa is talking. The way they introduced her, I expected the "strong silent type," but she's voicing her thoughts directly instead. Honestly kind of refreshing to have a less archetypal character and it's made me genuinely more interested in the series, since it seems like she actually has personality instead of being a harem wallflower.

It's not on the title page's cover, but at the beginning of each chapter, there's a picture showing Nito with the knight and Toa.

I think that's just one of the alternate covers for the early part of the story when they're traveling together with the merchant, before meeting Toa.

@Kutabarie It is because Nito is kind of a doormat. Sierra shouldn't have been in any position to demand to see his status screen either, but somehow he couldn't reject the request. He simply can't disobey when asked to do something. That's his fetcher personality from the previous life. And this is the guy who's supposed to turn a country into dust. The first person he meets will ask him not to do it, and he won't. End of story.

@Xeredge cause the author couldn't figure out how to make a harem so they just kinda... tossed it in.
But if you wanna try to reason it out: Cause Toa was a captured individual who seemed to silently take everything, so it's possible Masa was manipulating that aspect.
But really, we know the real reason.

Bro fuck this knight girl. She's annoying as hell and clearly does not respect the MC's boundaries. He only met her for a day and she expects him to tell her everything about himself as if she's entitled to his secrets and gets pissed/naggy when he dont.

Then she attacks the MC (which is an annoying ass cliche) for no reason at his own place, which has nothing to do with her.

If she turns out to be the main romance lead and keeps this attitude then this manga is going to get sour real quick. Almost every panel she's in with the guy is an annoying one. Which makes it hard to actually enjoy the manga.
