Orenchi ni Kita Onna Kishi to Inakagurashi Surukotoninatta Ken - Vol. 2 Ch. 9 - Business mode

Somehow I have literally NEVER heard of this "kh kill me" phrase before. Am I alone? Is it really that popular, because I would think I've seen enough Japanese fantasy crap (both sfw and hentai) to have heard it before if it was. What does kh even stand for?

@orochijes I've heard it and seen it in it used before. A female knight would rather be killed than defiled more less due to the great shame it would bring to her family as it was often believed that women in old days were the ones who caused men to cheat on their wives.

The kh is like a stutter of the first sound of kill. K sounds different depending on what comes after like K how we say it alone is the same as what is heard in kangaroo while kill is like kh for more.

Otherwise magic brings a bit of a story change. I wonder if she is the only person who can use it, or does she only have mana left from when she left and she is slowly using up her limited supply with the translate spell and now fire spell. Would be more interesting if her mana can regenerate whether or not she can teach them magic or not. Though I'd prefer if they could learn a little bit of magic and that it be lots different from her worlds :)

@Kisato she wouldn't be able to talk with them if magic didn't work

wanted proof she's from another world, no problem, you just had to ask her the right question...frankly I can't believe he never asked her if she could use any magics in the whole time she's been with him, it's been what, a week now? that would've been one of my first questions after she said the teleport was someone else's spell
...also I think this old friend is a closet super perv lady with otherworldly fetishes...which will probably make for some highly entertaining misconceptions and awkward situations

...well, that definitely didn't escalate quickly at all. 9 chapters for them to finally use some brains.

Kanji is thinking wtf she's been here a week and I never asked her about using magic... what a blunder.

new girl with her damsel in distress and being attacked by orcs fetishes is cool with me?

@Liquidxlax
Well his main character flaw seems to be bad at being social, so i guess I can understand how he got lumped with a crazy girl like that during college.

Honestly, I can see how Kanji wouldn't have thought to ask her about seeing magic. First of all, he's clearly not an otaku, so his mind doesn't automatically jump to that sort of thing like Honami's clearly did. Secondly, he's already admitted how he doesn't fully believe her story of being from another world. As he said, she may not be able to lie because she shows her emotions on her face, but she might not be telling the truth either. Meaning that she REALLY believes that she's from another world even if it might not be true, like some sort of mental condition or delirium or something.

Of course they can't say anything; you've just proven that everything you've said was true.

It will take a bit for their minds to wrap around that concept.
The one because it's so foreign to him, he didn't really consider it a possibility, the other, well, major otaku here, yes? With a maybe unhealthy attitude concerning certain tropes that she'd really change her mind about if she were truly on the receiving end; at least I hope that would be the case.

Fireball! Gygax be praised!
Actual healing magic would be even more amazing once it spread.
