Orenchi ni Kita Onna Kishi to Inakagurashi Surukotoninatta Ken - Vol. 3 Ch. 19 - Physical examination

The last time I did a health examination I did urinalysis first, so I don't get why people in this thread are making such a big deal out of that. There isn't a strict order you have to follow, there are some examinations which you can switch around.

Also, what the heck is creepy about this? Maybe those hazmat suits do look a bit creepy (they always are), but as far as their behavior is concerned, considering the girl's status that looks like standard procedure to me.

They act as if they want to scare her on purpose. They send 3 "maids". My guess is they are told to act like nurses, but are trained soldiers. Couldn't they fit in at least one psychologist or trained diplomat? The military have those, too. Also their approach to tell her shit is quite depressingly stupid, except they really want to know, how much it takes to make her flip.

Normal procedures or not, she is practically a humanoid alien. Even I would act suspicious, in such an environment, if the tell me next to nothing, even if I understand what they need those samples for. But that's me, grown up in an industrialized country, knowing all my rights. She is a medial soldier princess and therefore she already surrendered to the situation, that she is expected to listen to commands. In that hindsight, that actually might help.....until even she judges, that things go too far. And without trained or gifted empathetic people, you don't see that point coming...stupid.

Alternatively in a realistic version of this she's currently drugged and experiments are performed on her to find out how she can use magic. MC and his friend are already 'missing' people never to be seen again.

I'm not sure if the pee thing should be more creepy or less creepy to her since medieval doctors would drink pee to analyze it.

@CivD666 That was nice info, although I want to add 2 things: They are looking for microorganisms not yet known to mankind, as well as variants of known ones. Nowadays, they notice you will have to "piss into the glass" in advance or at the start of the examination, so you will be able to do it by the end of the examination at least (as in getting used to the idea). Like this grill, she got nervous and of course you cant pee even with a full bladder if you are nervous. :-)

Looks like urine trouble, Chris-san.

I'd be both weirded out and pissed if I were in her shoes coming from a world without modern medicine--And thank goodness for that, or else doctors would still be drinking the patients urine like Bear Grylls to test for diabetes because it's apparently sweet.

Reminder never to trust the government, lest they drink your waifu's pee before you can

It will be interesting to know how this issue will be resolved in the other reverse isekai, Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!. Or, they just conveniently 'forget' the entire issue?

Reverse isekai authors do face some additional hurdles...

Infind it actually interesting that they’re exploring that side. It might not be comfortable for everyone but it’s more similar to what would actually happen with a reverse isekai scenrio irl.

@Qelix - and they also know that she's from a world that's basically medieval - they should have sent an anthropologist and a historian, to just talk, to figure out the differences between medical sciences so they can explain them to her. This approach makes it more and more likely she'll never trust them and resort to violence (since she only sees these people as captors and potentially abusers) to escape.

LOL at all the people in the comments. You guys all clearly know what should really be happening, and know all about government rules and procedures when it comes to someone from an entirely different reality crossing into yours.

Thanks for the upload.
