They came here prepared to kill and steal, so they should also know that only death awaits them if they get caught.

I think i can foresee the plot of why the kid threw a rock. It is a rural and isolated area so no security forces are nearby, which is why while the town likely has to pay taxes to Earl Randal they receive no support or benefit, as evident from the bandit attack. So from the kids point of view it looks like the officials who are suppose to protect them only seem to care for them whenever it suits them from time to time.

why blame the kid being a kid? It's the mother's fault for allowing the kid to pick n throw that stone when clearly her hand hold that child shoulder unless the mother so shocked she didn't notice that kid picking the stone or the stone already in his hand...

I'm pretty sure that the whole 'judge, jury and executioner' thing was a significant part of medieval nobility's responsibilities.
Sheesh. Even if there’s some issue of communication or something happened in the past, maybe don’t be rude to the people trying to help you and offering to heal anyone? I mean you could just strike up a conversation to talk about what’s been happening. All these people are clearly strangers and don’t know what’s going on in a village miles away (not like there’s any good way to communicate or convey information quickly). Plus one of them is a famous adventurer party and noble renowned as a hero. Maybe don’t agitate them? If you think they are evil then you just saw one almost instantly kill a bandit (I suppose is helping them). This is why I hate rural villages. If they aren’t xenophobic and closed minded, then they’re just an angry mob (which is more dangerous than any monster). That or free real estate to be destroyed and murdered for plot to mr. Evil darklord is a bad dude. And then maybe every now and then they’re a welcoming and friendly village (that will probably still be destroyed for plot) or where the mc retires in those “op mc retires in rural village” stories.
