Oversimplified SCP - Ch. 156 - SCP-001

SCP-001 has a variety of explanations in order to keep the real thing a secret

So it’s to prevent anyone from trying to get the elusive 001 spot. Gotcha.

All of them are the real SCP-001. Or maybe none of them are.

SCP and continuity is something vague and is basically built upon people being able to pick and choose which SCP's actually exist, especially since several of them have created mutually exclusive continuities.

@aloysiusks Well, any one of them is as "real" as a fictional setting can get.
Strictly speaking in terms of established lore though, none of the many entries for 001 have been confirmed as the "true" 001, if any even exists.
In terms of a community-built forum and lore, having multiple 001s is a smart way of distributing the prestige that comes with thinking up the "number one" SCP.

That note at the end about the word "𝕗𝕚𝕝𝕖," that's kind of creepy

Should have shown the world going beautiful would have been even more ambiguous

Man, some SCP-001 is co much more interesting than others.

A sheaf of papers detailing any and all SCPs past, present and future is so much better then basic ass "iTs An UnKnOwAbLe ReAlITy AlTeRiNg EvEnT" or "iTs A lOcK tHaT iS sEaLiNg An UnKnOwN tHrEaT".
