People Looked Down on Me for Having a Crummy Job but It Really Isn't All That Bad? - Vol. 2 Ch. 8

Believe me. I was like, what was that crummy job manga? But I forgot the name, I check follows and
.... WHADDYA KNOW

I realllllly hope the maid isn't a long-con assassin. I mean she probably is, but I hope the MC doesn't have to kill her and they can just travel together.

@gregger
Im grussing it’s going to be a whole internal struggle for her when she tries to do the deed and fails, and has to confront that people with ‘weaker’ jobs can be stronger. Remember she got really mad at him for learning that blocking skill a while ago. Maybe she justifies the murders she commits with job supremacy or something, and him challenging this is a threat to her worldview, forcing her to reexamine her actions in a new, less favorable light. Or maybe Im rambling and it’ll be fine.

@gregger I am the complete opposite! I am tired of mangas just spoon feeding the MC happy endings. The whole maid travels with MC is played out. At any rate, one of us will be happy. :)

I really enjoy this, sad his maid/best friend/older sister role model is also his executioner and he knows it.

My worry is his mother is also in the list. He should have planned something to save her.

@jennydude- I suspect that it's not job supremacy, at least not in an active sense, but a "mercy" killing or "for the greater good" type justification. At least in the royal position, a perceived weakness would be seized upon by other nations or even internal powers.

@Jeirien

Yeah I’ve wondered about that many times also.
Maybe the goddess is aware that she’ll be able to return or live safely under special circumstances.
These isekai often gloss over the parent/child relationship because of the inner age of the character, which is sad because she literally is his mother and she’s always been there besides him.

> His life will be change greatly after taking the adventurer route and explore the world, preferably with Aliya

its still kinda fucked up that he has to be assassinated along with his mother, but little do they know, my Boi got skills for fucking years, THATS RIGHT NOT DAYS, YEARSSSSSS. I dont think Aliya is completely bad but if she turns out to be one of those fucking creepy people that be like i waited all these years to finally kill him and has no sympathy or affection, then i expect no mercy from our MC, DAMN IT
i just took a peek and she is one of those crazy people that kill with no regard, but there were some panels where shes wavering on if she will actually go through with it, i hope she gets her shit together and stops with the assassination

I hope he makes the elf a cock sleeve for eternity by mind breaking her.
I know it won't happen because no ecchi tag but one can dream

ya'll know hes gonna spare the elf with some bs redemption crap. The Japanese love villains becoming heroes for some reason.

I was kinda hoping this manga would change, but it did not.

First, the ENTIRE premise doesn't make any sense. If him inheriting the throne would mean a civil war, as was explained in chapter two or so, there were ZERO reasons for the king to let him live till this age. He would have not inherited anyway, so who cares.He would have just created problems anyway, so just kill him and his mother and pretend he was a stillborn and the mother died of childbirth. There's no merit whatsoever to keep him alive until you have another son. Might as well kill him immediately and pretend you never had that son you are so ashamed of.

Of course, the entire: "you're a support magician/ alchemist so everyone hates you and wants to kill you" premise is equally retarded. It makes no sense, and just creates pointless drama. Moreover, the author drove himself into a corner now. Either the elf kills his mother, tries to kill him, and he escapes. And then we have a revenge manga where the MC goes around murdering and pillaging and raping the entire planet.
Or, the elf decides to spare him and he starts traveling with her. In which case, everything we were told up to now was pointless bullshit, since him being able to travel would mean that " you're a support magician/ alchemist so everyone hates you and wants to kill you" was bullshit from the very beginning.

In the end, the "plot" is just a turd at this point, and it's entirely the author's fault.
