Pumpkin Night

Man, is the translator twelve?

I don’t think I’ve ever cringed at a translation so much. This includes the MTL’s.

@Keimichi chillok does all his translations in this stupid unreadable manner, i've dropped several mangas because it's untolerable to read and quite stupid

Why do people say this is a trash manga? It's trashy, not trash. It's exactly like if an 80's slasher movie was made into a manga. Would you expect this level of realism or seriousness from Jason or Freddy?

Though I'm not sure if the translation adds to or subtracts from that...

What the heck is that gif from on page 16 of Chapter 21 in the English scanlation?

Anyway, I know the translation is a bit of the rails, but isn't the whole series?

Eh...the transaction has a lot of memes and dialect...but when I get the physical copy I could figure out what the author was really trying to say. Naoko is damn annoying with her "chi" dialect..literally uses "chi-ya" as a character replacement every sentence.

The new editions have good death scenes by the way...but they weren't reposted here.

I read this series until a major character (wink wink) died. Right around there, fricking Trump showed up in this manga? Yeah... I'm out.

I was enjoying this manga a lot, there were lots of clever parts to it until that point. But, with such a big character death, I'm done. They could have done so much with this character... feels like the publisher or editors told the creator to kill her just because. WTF

"Good" story. Fucking horrible translation.

So many gifs and memes no one needs or asks for, on every single chapter.

Still reading it since it'll reach its end soon, but the Naoko death definitely felt unnecessary.

I kinda like the cover--it's an homage to The Phantom of the Paradise, which is actually a pretty good flick.

I find it funny that
people here say Naoko's death was a bad thing. I mean, yeah, she certainly didn't deserve it from a morality standpoint, but plot-wise, it's incredibly fresh to see a revenge-porn killer actually not be the "undefeatable force" for once. Not to mention it makes Kazuya's character way more interesting.
