It's a pretty situational buff that has been granted to Aporou from his god because he was not supposed to fight this guy (who is someone big, at least in the future) if I recall correctly and he'll never get that buff again. The god panicked, feeling Rou could die from the encounter lol.

fairly certain that those buffs are granted anytime a god-chosen fights another god chosen. Both sides get buffs and the quality of the buff depends on what tier the god is on. Since Aporou is blessed by one of the top tier gods, he has a huge buff.

@Albmi Like everyone else said, any individual chosen gains a buff when they fight to the death against another chosen, it originates from that 'heretic' s nemesis' skill.

The skill is something like a quest line or destined events in the skill holder's life, completing certain requirements progresses the story to the next chapter. One of its main feature is to steal another chosen one's destiny when you win against them and provides rewards like that sunlight sword that corresponds to who you win against. What I'm not sure about is whether heroes like that sunlight Knight are blessed by a God, but all heroes are counted as 'chosen ones'.

From what I remember, he actually tricked the "Hero" by faking his death, and the "Hero" sent his pet away on another mission.
