@ShadowWalker It's to make the slime stick around. The 1st chapter said that type of slime was so weak that it'd die from being touched. So if it devours potion after potion it'll have a slightly longer lifespan. So to avoid an too early death the author had it devour potion after potion.

@Choco-Bar Heck if I know, I just figure it's a quick and easy way of keeping a slime that dies from a poke living past a week. Probably becomes a potion slime and can heal not just itself (so it doesn't die) but can heal her as well by splitting in two and she eats/drinks the new slime.
