Sekai Saikyou no Assassin, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei Suru - Vol. 2 Ch. 6.1

It's been a while since the last chapter, but the disjointed story-telling and gazillion characters that you don't know whether they're new or not, whether you should *know* them or not is not helping. This isn't very good. It's just confused.
 
You have this confused with something else, there's no gazillion characters in this and they are mostly memorable.
 
It is a bit weird that the series just now establishes that he's been regularly visiting Dia though.
 
The world really is shit. People really are damn stupid. Putting in rules that only make things worse.
 
Didn't expect this power-fantasy isekai to get so real like that. Last thing I expected from it was commentary on government officials 'helping' by just making things official and worse.
 
That last page was the weirdest transition I've seen, like it's missing a panel or something

This chapter felt a bit all over the place, but overall still a good chapter.
I really wish Authors/Mangaka's would at least try to be more creative when creating throwaway bad guys, though. There's only so many times you can use the generic as hell rape shit to quickly set up a disposable villain until It becomes abundantly clear they chose the quickest path to get a reader reaction. I dunno, maybe it's just me. It just feels fuckin lazy.
Something that used to be reserved for those moments that really gave impact has been turned into the default. I'm honestly more surprised when a bad guy isn't one these days.

Essentially, flashback to Macha's past, how she got into orphanage, how Lugh showed up one day and picked her.

But the fatass decided he wanna 'enjoy' her in these 3 days before Lugh come to properly pick her up.

She's basically goes through a train of thought of
No, I don't wanna be soiled before reuniting with him
I wonder why I'm feeling this way
Oh, I fell in love with him at first sight, like some maiden's fairy tale.

Kick open the door and run away.

(My vote is Lugh pretended to leave town to see if the fatass will try something, because saving Macha for extra devotion value + get to expose the bastard for his crime)

Because in a position of total power over someone with decent looks and you're already sleazebag, why not?

Throwaway villains don't need effort. They're throwaway villains. You save the grand design and sob stories and 'just another guy until a bad day' or 'abandoned by society' crap for special snowflake villains.
 
From the placement of the end of this chapter, we can infer some things (I dont see why else chapter would end here directly after talk of selling her): her first customer (mc) was somewhat young, and thus she fancied him a little. Then after he had brutally had his way with her she latched onto that feeling, deciding on it being love and that she had given herself to someone she loved. Then her obsession made him bring her with him to exploit her blind devotion and fear of abandonment, turning her into an assassin helper. I bet he trains her in 'counter-interrogation' a lot too.

Any other option is just impossible. Like her being saved by mc? Yeah, no, how could that happen? That isn't assuming-the-worst-instead-of-the-obvious-cliche-to-take-out-your-annoyance-with-the-manga-on-the-manga, so I don't see that ever happening.
 
@Kayriel - Nah, that's just sophistry at best. Disposable or not doesn't matter when there's no limits to the evil humanity is capable of; particularly when you're telling a story. If anything I'd say the freedom of having a visual conduit to share a story greatly enhances the possibilities even further. Hell, we even see a couple examples in this chapter that get significantly less page presence that illustrate various evils. Yet almost every story you see these days will have some random thugs in an alley, a bar, an inn, on the street, in the woods, a dungeon, a cave etc. making forceful advances just for a quick reaction. It's so overused that it's basically a waste of space on a page. It's lazy. I bet people could even quickly add several more places where it shows up just off the top of their head.
I never even said that the throwaway villain needs to have more effort or some grand scheme either; just that that it'd be nice if their existence invoked more than apathy and a page turn.
I dunno, man. Like I said, maybe it's just me. I'm not exactly setting my expectations super high or anything -- it'd just be nice to see stories not pick the lowest hanging fruit, ya know?
