Like, he want to be 'useful', so he work hard to get used to his monstrous power (here he's just happy he can use magic)
But that in turn makes him even more monstrous.
And by the mindset of chivalry, he must save all the girls whether he intend for sexual relation or not.

Would make any girl, good or evil, able to manipulate him into causing massive destruction just by getting recognize as part of his harem and beg him to do something.
