Anyone can explain to me what is volume 5/Senyuu+ exactly? I skipped them because it was boring. But to my surprise, the Kanpachi story line also happened in volume 5/Senyuu+. Is volume 6 a remake of some sort?

Vol 5 is like a collection of omake/side stories. It doesn't have much to do with main story at all although it does give the background of pillow-san, the main antagonist of this arc
