Sex and Dungeon - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

This manga's plot is just all over the place

I think it's just plain lazy writing

It's a drop for me guys

Hopefully some people will enjoy their time reading this, so the mangakas time isn't totally wasted..

Why the fuck are people treating an honorary fantasy porn manga as if it ever tried to make sense?

It's title is "Sex and Dungeon" for fuck's sake. Stop holding it up to the standards of Sousou no Frieren.

@Joohnhas
"Plot all over the place" lmao this is soft porn dude. Its the thing all other harem manga and novels pretends they aren't, by means of shit plot devices like isekai.
You can consider this one a improvement since its more honest.

My question is can anyone use the Magic Tools or only the MC can use them I wonder.

@ZelousR2 I was also wondering the same during the umbrella incident, I'm predicting that the girl who was suspicious of him will take one of the magic tool somewhere in the future.

Uh... Not sure I understand how the bell works...
Yo, @Velsy 😂
Since we're just a few hours apart. Got any clues?
I assumed he't try to overwrite her memories of the dungeon, but...nope. Then with the sex I thought he'd make her his gf, but not that either (he didn't implant the memory "we love each other", just "I love you").
I...don't get it.

@Tatherwood Well from what I seen, I cant really trust him to come up with the right answers, or think his plans through. Hes just been doing things on the fly once they pop in his head. hes got no patience either. Its all short game.

@Velsy Hm... But regardless of how he uses it, I also don't quite get the theoretical use of it. The translations for these items are kinda iffy, I'm noticing... 😑

Oh shit lawlz!
Just when it is seeming like he'll have to be honest going forward, he conveniently unlocks THE BELL OF MAGIC GASLIGHTING!

And then she changed clothing for no reason whatsoever and it doesn't suit her character at all. Lame.

Stop holding it up to the standards of Sousou no Frieren.
Had to interject here, but Sousou no Frieren is overrated drivel. This manga is entertaining because it is exactly the right sort of terrible and hits all the So-Bad-Its-Good sweet spots. SnF though just spends all its time trying to be clever and failing miserably, so it just ends up boring.

@The5thSeraph It's never once tried to be clever though? Sousou no Frieren is a very simple and uncomplicated manga, with a pretty threadbare plot unlike a lot of animu stuff, which is one of its greatest strengths considering its particular brand of poignance. The one arc where they tried to have a less episodic narrative was its weakest one, with the demons and the magic power hiding crap, and that was done and over with pretty fast. It's been a very rare 10/10 for me pretty much every chapter outside of that.

@twinklecake
The way I see it, Chapter 2 was literally the only remotely interesting point in the entire manga. The rest of the time it just pretentious drivel about the transience of things over long spans of time and a load of "I can't relate to mortal mayflies" crap. Honestly it is annoying whenever any manga tries to pull that sort of thing (it is mostly just an excuse not to commit to anything), but even then there are some that can manage a vaguely decent plot in spite of it. Sousou no Frieren can't. It can't even come close.
I've rated it 3/10, and most of those 3 points were for Chapter 2 and the perspective screw with the rock.

It isn't like I never give high ratings, though there are fewer than 5 manga on the site I've given a 10 to. Frankly even having more than 1 of them is an insult to the unrivalled glory of Golden Kamuy (I'd give it a 20/10 easily).
I do tend to come down a LOT harder on higher-rated manga if I believe they're unworthy of their rating though. The 3rd most popular manga on the site (Japanese only) is, my opinion, the worst manga on the entire site.

Somewhat tangential thought.... but you know how people hate it when a story pulls the "It's all just a dream" thing? That never personally bothered me. But I suspect the way people react to that plot device is similar to the way I hate stories that hinge on navel-gazing on the transience of human life, if it helps you relate to it any.
