Shadows House - Vol. 3 Ch. 36 - Examiner

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN i think it's not "the second floor". All of special living doll that reside in grandfather's house can do that, thus they are called special. Its hinted when edward explaining himself at the start of debut procession, when they are asking edward's shadow whereabouts.
Uh oh. They said they are the only left since debut. So, it must be there exist a second trial

I wonder if the grandfather has his own doll/face. Other than that thank you for this update!

This reminds me too much of Tower of God :(

Now the author will keep throwing in tons of completely unnecessary new characters and the side plots will grow so thick that the author soon forgets anything regarding the first three volumes. The amount of floors will grow exponentially to the point where the original world building efforts just seems to be a very weird introduction to an isekai where they hunt dragons with cheat skills.

@teriguu
I know you're joking but
I think you'll be surprised by the amount of details in the first dozen chapters that become relevant later on and even explain certain actions and behaviors. Even in the first chapter.

@teriguu dude, even tower of god still have relevant point from the first volume. A story with a greater scale must always hid some mystery in it for the story to be alive even while the chapter still yet explained them. It's not good to be rushing it. Give some time to the reader to make a speculation to having fun when the time confirmation comes. Still, i agree with the tower of god have many irrelevant facts that disappointing cause its just disappear without a cause.

Plus, this genre is mystery. It's the norm to bring more questions than answers till the end of story. Too much spoiler just make it lost its charm. So what irrelevant fact that you talking about?

@AAA1 I'm kind of agree with @teriguu . I feel like Author of Tower of God quite often forgetting his detail and it's world building. after re-read I've noticed quite a lot of plotholes, but it's still quite fun to read

@teriguu agreed, so many characters from the first vol are forgotten.. they mostly become a mob/background characters that only appear occasionally while it could be used carefully to the max. Like what's up with Anaak her revenge? Ran's team mate become forgotten, along with the glasses girl

@teriguu It's part of any long-running "shonen" series like Naruto, Fairy Tail and JoJo's. Introducing new characters every arc makes side characters become less relevant as the story progresses. A few series like One Piece and Kingdom manage to keep characters relevant and reintroduce plot details 100s of chapters after they were first introduced — but that's very much an exception from the standard trend.
