She Likes Homos, Not Me - Vol. 1 Ch. 1

I expected some preachy drama, but so far it's pretty nice

I honestly expected it to be bad from the description, but it's actually pretty interesting

they lost me when they talked about "zero friction rule". i don't remember any rule about zero friction in my physics class other than Newton's 3 laws. i get the image that they're referring to free fall tho, is that what it is?

@psychodaisy it's a common phrase in Japanese, but it was really hard to get across the meaning in English. My PR and I were ripping our hair out the whole time - he even took a few swigs of a drink to combat the suffering.

It's not a "defined" rule. Basically, when you're learning physics, the teacher simplifies the problem by omitting outside factors such as air resistance, right? You only need to get the general idea to pass the class, so it's not really necessary to make things more complicated. People do the same thing in real life through labels. Defining people left and right so they themselves can understand this unusual existence, but at the same time, they don't really scratch the surface of who they are.

This is actually really promising. Looking at the prevalence of homosexuality in ‘real’ society and what it means to be one outside of the fantasy of BL. Followed for more

"Makoto-san undoubtedly desires his own son. I am simply his outlet."
This definitely smells like a plot point when MC eventually runs into this dude's son.

@psychodaisy zero friction rule , is basically a thing we do so any calculation, especially those liked with mechanical physics don't become to complicated. If you take in account friction, even to do a simple calculation it becomes messed up. It's not taking an account the one dissiculty of thing that could complicate the calculation

This is surprisingly nice?? Was a bit surprised with some of the scenes but I'm glad I found it. For the people heavily disappointed in the girl, why? Characters have flaws, if they had the perfect mindset that would be boring. And besides it's just the first chapter.

Anyway, thank you for translating this! 🥰

Edit: just found out this has a drama adaptation! it's called Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru

This is interesting so far. Reminds me that not too long ago I heard there was some discourse on japanese side of twitter about how everything BL should be labeled as such so they're separated from romance/everything else sections because they're just fantasy. Supposedly some BL fans supported this and made homophobic comments, which is just mind boggling to me.

@Yabaibunni haha wow, it must've been a real brain wrecker. thanks for your hard work in scanlating this series! that clears things up, knowing that when doing calculations we only take the more significant information and ignore everything else. it's interesting how they use the zero friction rule as metaphor and it actually reflects the situation in real life. thanks for the explanation!

@Hakio i see, that makes sense. i really should've paid attention in pyshics class. thanks!

thank you soo much for translating and for your hard work !!💛💛💛
looking forward the next chapter !!!
