Anyone got ideas for why Ireena looked so downcast when the lecture brought up the war with the demons and evil gods, unlike everyone else (besides Ard) whose expressions seemed more obviously hateful/resentful (logically towards demons)? Could she possibly have demonic ancestry somehow, and she's anxious over the possibility of getting persecuted should it become known? Or maybe she knows a demon that isn't bad but gets persecuted anyway over the war that they had no involvement in?

I didn't realize this had a manga, this is the first time I've read the LN before the manga. A few things are slightly disappointing though, for example Ard's fight with Elrado was slightly longer, Elrado used "Mega Flare" and then "Giga Flare", after Ard unknowingly taunted him, not realizing magic is drastically weaker now. "Mega Flare" being a regular Flare, and "Giga Flare" just being multiple Flares from all directions, which is far more impressive than a single Flare.
@MarqFJA87 I mean, that would be a spoiler but I can tell you if you want to know, but it should be revealed by the end of volume 1 if it keeps this pace.
@Mpwilson123 Yes, that was Olivia and she was the one who told Ard about double cast being a lost skill and about magic getting drastically weaker, not Jessica.

@MarqFJA87 Yes Olivia is the girl with the cat ears in the shadows, and she is one of a few people who're still alive from back when Ard was Demon Lord Varvatos, that's not really a spoiler since it'll be explained when she appears in a chapter or two. Also she was supposed to be in the classroom because,
