Shin no Nakama janai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni shimashita - Vol. 1 Ch. 6

@Niemand - I guess that works too, I just felt like brawler ('a person who engages in rough or noisy fights or quarrels, especially habitually') seemed a nice fit XD

Being Ruty is suffering
I get that this is the how the story was planed to go but I still resent Red for ditching his sister and being so ignorant

Nothing says MOE like indentured servitude. Srsly, why not make her your partner instead of an employee? Pay half the revenues and share half your living expenses. Isn't she your old friend? Treat her with the respect of an equal.
Why do you have to create this weird submissive power dynamic between the man and the woman? Author... STAP. pls.

hmmm, i guess the protection of guide isn't a simple power-training mule but actually makes him a guide in all aspect of life, this is going to be fun.. the hero who lost her guide

It makes perfect sense, if you think about it. The Hero has to depend on the tutorial NPC-the Guide. When you apply this to a whole childhood of development and personality-influencing, a complex is the best case scenario.

And on that topic, I'm gonna assume that the protection of Guide is responsible for Gideon's charisma. He's the nurturer, the silent aide, the "guide". He wouldn't be much of a Guide if he couldn't get people to trust him or he didn't have the wisdom to answer their anxieties when they feel lost.

@lightng I do get what you mean, but he really doesn’t need her there at all. Should he just enter an equal partnership with someone he doesn’t need? She adds nothing he doesn’t already have except potentially some fighting strength (rarely) and watching the shop while he’s out, which once again, shouldn’t be very often (said he’ll only harvest herbs once a month, so otherwise it’ll be when he’s delivering or treating someone). Both of them are only doing it for eachother’s companionship, and it’s not like Red actually has any control over her. PLUS on top of all that, they aren’t even actually romantically involved yet, so at most it could be seen as an employee and a boss getting together, so if that happened IRL, would the boss just suddenly promote the employee to co-ceo? No way. I did exaggerate a bit of course, but I just think you’re complaining about something that’s pretty much non-existent in this manga.

i dont care how strong she is without proper logistical support she will die from the elements in 3 hours 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food and thats in energy conservation mode she has to fight hoards of enemies burning them calories

he really is a shitbag for just leaving immediately, how can he let his sister go without headpats

@Moridin69 @guardian1102 - this world has a bad case of being based on an old RPG. Where people randomly get classes and only advance in them by fighting.
Honestly, I expect authors to do better than that. Even computer RPGs do better these days.

@firosahoge - he was told he was useless and troubling the party - because his protection catapulted him into a role (of mentor) that he wasn't ready for, he left so as to minimize conflict. The story thus far has shown he didn't grow up in normal family/social circumstances, so his ability to understand implications further out (the way Lit can understand economics due to her training as a member of a royal family constantly under siege) is not incomprehensible.
I do think his Guide protection and ability to mentor young people really should be the focus of this story down the line, that ability seems to be sorely lacking in this world.

@sylvacoer he was told that by one person, an arrogant person at that. Leaving without a word, his party will be in so much distress and they won't even know if he died. He should have taken responsibility and talked to his party before leaving, instead of traumatizing his party and little sister.

So Red actually seems quite strong. He's killed some decent levelled demons and is very helpful overall. Am I missing something? The reason he was kicked out was because he was already a high level but couldn't go higher and learn better skills? But he was useful in other aspects right?
