I'm kind of wondering why Claudia was assigned to be her vice commander. I hope it's something a little more interesting than "oh, she's a girl too", and that Claudia has the tactics and manners to be an effective handler of Octavia. I could totally see Octavia becoming a "general" that just charges right into the enemy army while Claudia actually does the work.

@ultimatehaki I agree. Though I personally liked Noel from the authors other work the "The Girl who bore the flame ring" even more. She was a nice contrast to the grim tone to most of the story with her cheerful personality.
