Shoujo Junrei - Vol. 3 Ch. 27 - The Friend Next Door

For such a complicated and dramatic story... this end was really shit.
Not sure if simply got axed (most likely), but just feels like the author didnt really know how to undo the tight ropes around the story so he just cut the ropes instead.
Had lil expectations of romance after some developments but was so fitting with the story that is awfully frustrating in a way. Tho at some point i didnt really wanted Mao to end up with Aiko as her lover, so i guess it works? Well, i just hoped Mao would get someone to really love and take care of her and not just "the friend next door".
But to think Aiko still havent really made up her mind clearly made it even more a quite disturbing way to end.

Anyway, ive regreted putting the time to read considering how it ended. 6/10 and just because the art style was great or it would be lower.

Tks 0mniessence team for the nice work nonetheless.

was this axed or something? seems very rushed.
as much as i did not care for the editor subplot, seeing it conclude offscreen in like 2 lines of narration was really weird

I wasn't expecting yuri shit tbh, but the meme made me lol anyway. Now in terms of "dramatic endings", this one had...none. Not bad, not impressive either. I feel that the rest of the story was a lot better. But anyway, thanks for sticking till the end with the translation!

So...in the end, what was up with the whole disaster predicting thing? That almost felt like it could have gone somewhere

Wow we all got friend zoned by a manga... Well it still was a fun time thanks for the translation!

And now let me try not to cry and remember all the handholding we saw along the way.

Started out good. I can see why it was axed/wrapped up quickly. It didn't know what it wanted to be and languished somewhere in between a few different story types.
Thanks for the tl!!!

this was such a fucking weird manga and not in a good sense. I'm glad the ending is at least normal and fulfilling

@NIPHY Not sure if your platonic comment is in reference to me saying platonic, what I meant to say is mainly that they don't seem romantic. Which I wish the series ended on a more romantic note personally.

Honestly, as soon as I realized this chapter was going to be the last, I was hoping it'd end with them as just friends. Would have felt far too rushed otherwise, so I'm satisfied.

>shoujo ai
japanese: loli porn or something
english: weebos who stole a word without caring a fuck about what it meant cos it probably sounded cool and then made it a SFW term
(at some point some english speaking guy tried to use this in japan, press F for them)

and fuck yeah the bland editor got offscreen'd
too bad we never get a mugshot of the new editor

sooooooo, pals who ran off together, came back together, basically eat all their meals together

ya they're friends, but it would've felt rushed if they became lovers here, but we can see where their relationship is going
