@Rozzak Won't argue about the part of the suicide rate, as I would ahve to look up the stats, but I will have to point out that when it comes to the idea of diseases, there are cultural differences in how one looks at them. What we consider in the US to be the flu (influenza, which is an illness that can actually be very dangerous) is much different than a cold. In Japan, the medical viewpoint changes actually, and the lines of distinction blur. Basically, instead of considering it as the "comon cold" when reading the manga, it is more accurate to think of it as "influenza" instead.
