Umm...Excuse me, head maid? If he comes to her room and pulls her out of the bed in the middle of the night, what else she is she supposed to do? He's the fucking Duke.
Speaking of which, being duke pretty much gives him licence to shoot his shot with just about anyone in his domain. If, in his mind, he's basically in love with/ pre-engaged to his maid, how is chasing her away from him going to make your life easier?

That only happen if his parents would disinherit the hero but that won't happen since he has been named head of the family so he is free to marry who he wants.
The only backlash is that other nobles families will slander him to the point he could not make anymore money (reputation is everything in business).

@icarushector That was not my comparison. Nobility hierarchy is far more different than a workplace.
Alejandro is the Duke, a position that is right near the crown. Staff or not, Ibelina is favored by him and for a good reason. Going against him is disrespectful and futile all because he's with Ibelina most of the time due to her being really close to him. They have no right to interfere as servants, to put it bluntly.

@Raai I still say that, although she can't do jack about how Alejandro behaves towards Ibee, that as head maid, it is a workplace issue and her responsibility as head maid to correct Ibee's behavior. Is it a smart call, no. Could triggered drama better with a new character? Maybe, but they have foreshadowed this a couple times and the head maid hasn't been on good terms with Ibee since before the curse was lifted.
Alejandro has always stonewalled literally everybody who never gave a damn about him, and to suddenly change that would be bad writing because of how it would violate his character, so there is nobody more suitable to stir shit and the shit must be stirred.

People who are butthurt over the MC not "understanding" Alejandro's love, she clearly sees him as a child and purposely rejects his offers not because she's dense.. she doesn't want him to be casted out of the noble society due to him falling in-love with a mere maid and she thinks of him as a pitiful child who hadn't had the chance to express his love for anyone, imagine taking care of a child and watching them grow.. would you ever think of them as a potential lover? Of course not and that's the case here. Y'all would complain even if they actually fell in-love and talk about how forced their love is, so enjoy the story and wait patiently for their love to grow.

@icarushector Okay, but despite what you think, it's still not a workplace issue when the Duke allows it. His word is practically law in his home and the family now whether they [his family that isn't part of the Emperor's line directly and servants] like it or not. He also doesn't give a damn what the other nobles may view them as, while Ibelina will. That is for them to figure out in the future, not a servant. (Will I love seeing the drama unfold? Hell yes, she'll get what's coming for her lol) Plus, the Head Maid's only duty is to oversee the maids jobs since she's the senior maid and reports to the housekeeper. She's not his mother nor relative to govern the behavior nor is it her place to do so.
The shit can be stirred, but having a servant do that to their master is just lazy writing. So please stop trying to change my mind, it is set. We can agree to disagree.

1. Damn... That scene with the moonlight and smirk and the eyes. Hubba hubba, young master. 
2. FL is so dense, but... Every time ML starts getting intimate, I think about tiny!ML getting a bath and his first hug. I would definitely feel uncomfortable if FL was quick to change her feelings.

Asdfghjkl. Ahh...I liked this series so much better when he was just a kid. I’ve gotten kinda attached to Ibelina’s story, but I think I’ll have to drop. :/
The push towards “romance” is making me feel super uncomfortable. She doesn’t see him romantically, but everyone thinks she should bc he’s handsome/powerful & bc he feels some sort of way about her. It’s very “you should feel grateful for his attention”...? But she’s not obligated to reciprocate romantic love. No one is.
She’s not “leading him on” by caring for him platonically.
Plus, the power dynamics are super iffy. Like the scene this chapter? With him getting upset when she tries to lean away from him? He is very much in a position of power/authority, regardless of their history, & for him to not immediately back off when she doesn’t respond positively to his physicality is a Red Flag. If both parties are not in a position to freely refuse advances...it’s iffy. Especially when she’s the only one who will face any real consequences if he continues to pursue a romance.
