just like everyone else, i don't understand how the novel's ML can have such an attitude. The novel's second ML(Alejandro) isn't that much better either ofc.... with his excessive possessiveness, I can kinda see why Eleanora says no to him in the OG novel. Ale's saving grace would be his boyish-tsundere charms towards who he loves and his tragic backstory with the heroine, giving him the status of the 2nd ML but.....

But it just looks to be that Diego just doesn't have any MC charms huh....

I do understand Ibee's decisions because that's how a matured person would handle a confession from a younger person irl, and also given their differences in social status (although it could be neglected considering Ale's is in power). However it doesn't help the fact that her sole existence is to provide care and love for Ale which she's obviously giving up for a woman who she hasn't even met and is indirectly his cause of death. The story is definitely dragged on with this prince and that elenora bitch probably, though I wouldn't mind so to see how their roles play out.

@Mikasa2077 What world do you live in that someone 4 years older should refuse the love of their junior?? She has no excuses on that front. They didn't even have a proper conversation. This is all convenient plot bull. What was his "plan"? He keeps saying he had a plan, but when he sees her, he doesn't mention it? Her only argument is "I'm a maaaaiiiid" not "I'm four years older". He could simply give her land and a small title and boom, she wouldn't be a maid any more.
All these manhwas emulating real european medieval/renaissance/19th century settings don't do any research besides the vague design mish mash. If they studied a bit of European history, they'd realise that 20 years was a perfectly acceptable age gap at times.

So at this point Alejandro is ~19, Novel Ibee is ~23 and actual Ibee age including time before the isekai is 28 ~ early 30 something. I'm so glad there's a timeskip. I really didn't want to read about her adventures apart from other characters.
