@magefeanor i think it's because the G3 bears some superficial similarity in looks to the Howa type 64 rifle which has been in service with the JSDF since 1964. that's just speculation on my part though. who knows what the real reason is.

When I mentioned the top sage what I was trying to say was that the gift the top sage gave to sages in general messes with their soul and makes them more aggressive and have less empathy.

The sage we just saw as an example literally does not care about the passengers he's suppose to protect. He literally tells them to get on their knees and beg. It's obvious he's very egotistical and doesn't care about his supposed job and only cares about himself. A classic narcccist that people with less empathy generally have.

If you wanna call that edgy go ahead but thinking lack of empathy means that people will default to logic and reasoning is in itself not true.

And for the comments section argument: If reducing empathy is enough to make you go around fucking up lives, chances are you were just an arsehole in the first place. Empathy cannot make you understand anyone's feelings. It just makes you feel the same if you can already relate to them.
Empathy isn't some magical trait that the good have and the bad don't. It is just conditional emotional mimicry. And the way people worship it like some sort of infallible tool of judgement is incredibly harmful, as it is merely being used as an excuse not to better their own conscious judgement.
