It's somehow hilarious how people with a bit of power are constantly underestimating everyone else when, even if you exclude an anomaly like Yogiri, the world is full of overpowered people like Lain, Shion, the Sages in general, or the Invaders. Just by virtue of existing Shion gains levels every passing second, and she can kill people at the speed of light too. But to their defence, people with the Battle Song installed become more impulsive and inclined to violence so it's probably a heavy factor as to why their fight-or-flight response to Yogiri always defaults to fight even if it's clearly dumb.

This. Even then there is a lot of comedy elements so it doesn't become extremely boring. Also, unlike those other MCs this one can actually keep it up. Other MCs would probably just run into trouble and be dead by now, unless the plot advanced in a super convenient way.
