I don't think I minded them being under surveillance, but it doesn't sit quite right that they just let the sisters go after only one test showed them clean.
@solchimes Sorry, but Fujita is old school. Even when the pages aren't double spreads, he often conceives the halves in opposition to each other and "interacting", i.e., the layout of one is related to that of the other. He works with readers who open a magazine and look at two pages at a time, flipping through them. It's also the format adopted by many Japanese online readers, to emulate the same appearance of a magazine.
Recently, there has been a trend towards single pages, especially now with mobile devices becoming the predominant means, and younger mangaka no longer think of double pages while drawing. At Death Toll, we only do this layout for this series, on express request of the translator's. So you'll have to bear with it.
As a mobile reader...thanks for NOT cutting 2 page spreads. Even if the pages could he split I'd rather have that than actual spreads cut to 1 like some readers do.
