Honor does not feed their stomachs, the Yakuza gangs thrive on crime: they do illegal shit. At best, they suck on the teat of the slush funds of certain companies like the yakuza here.

Great depiction of criminals as criminals. Also, I felt some catharsis when they got dispatched like the scum of the society they are. That was good. Stupid Shounen anime and manga keep depicting criminals like gokudo as 'yankees' or 'freedom lovers' as if they were pirates from One Piece. Fucking hell, talk about an understatement.

@lionfromnorth I don't think modern organised crime arranges such a long, theatrical performance to slay a few random people, though. A drive-by shooting using a stolen vehicle burned later would be a whole lot less risky, or any other normal way they would use. Even if it's necessary to have no murder scene, there would be less conspiciuous methods around.
