Old kamen rider and recent kamen rider are often really dark. Heck, one of them is directed by the maker of madoka magica, the more recent one is about free will, android, and souls.

wtf what is with this story, goes from light hearted comedy to killing kids, what is with all these magical girls series that always turn dark, talking about you macho man magical girl, went from the best comedy manga ive ever seen to guro and rape then added aliens for the hell of it

@TheGoodFella Are you talking about Mahou-Shoujo of the End? Just from that title and the year it originally came out you knew it was going to get dark fast, it was released during the zombie apocalypse fad.

Well about time the story got dark and something bad has happened. Such events are nessesary for the story to grow and develope. Otherwise this manga will soon become boring and stale with only Yuri scenes and actionless fights. Don't call me heartless, I'm just too used to this trend

@HDMI1 If that is what they were talking about, I think they forgot how the series even started if they thought it was a comedy up until the "macho" thing showed up. The first chapter didn't even wait until the halfway point to explode someone's head.

Can't really think of anything else that fits that limited description of what they were talking about though. Unless Mahou Shoujo Ore really took a weird turn later on?
