As for the Vassal Katana well it's only stolen in the eyes of the country and the person they approved of to try and be it's user but Vassal weapons pick their users

So basically filolials don't exist in that world, making Filo an anomaly. So the world tries to fix this anomaly by converting her to something else that's close to what she is that does exists in that world.

Haven't read light novel so this is just a theory, i'm assuming Raphtalia and the gang have stolen the katana for one reason or another, and Raphtalia might be able to use it? (like how filo was transformed to a new race, maybe raphtalias class changedsomehow) Or they stole it for another reason. They're a 3rd party, not on the greatest terms with the country, and was headed to the capital last i remember.

Raphtalia a notable swordmen, she do good that Eclair says there's not much she could teach Raphtalia, and Eclair is one of the best swordmen in Melromac

So if a Vassal Weapon chooses Raphtalia it's because she worthy of it not because she stole it or pick it up because she could use it, it only considered stolen from the country that was controlling it and the user they felt was to be it's user

I don't think she's going to die, she's one of the four right, not just a vassal weapon user. If she dies, then their world goes away.
I haven't read any of the LN but I imagine they have to come to some conclusion to stop the cycle. It's already been alluded to with the turtle.

@Kampfarsch the same reason Raphtalia became small. All their levels returned to 1 upon reaching the other world. And since their developed bodies were a result of their rapidly increased levels, resetting their level returned them to their original age.

If their growth was caused by a rapid increase in levels, I see no reason why magically travelling to another world causing their levels to be reset wouldn't cause their bodies to physically regress to their actual age. Unexpected, sure, but not unacceptable.
