Tearmoon Empire - Vol. 3 Ch. 10

@icekatze
Interestingly, that seems to be the point Rafina is acknowledging about herself: that she lacks "the compassion to encourage the wicked to mend their ways". In both timelines, she had a strong sense of virtue, but this time Mia might be able to be more open minded regarding alternative possibilities.

that time when ainz ooal gown reincarnated into a princess and demiurge into everyone else.

@Misticsan
You're definitely right about that. I guess maybe my dissatisfaction stems from the different amount of effort the two have needed to go through. I guess we'll soon find out if Rafina can turn around on a dime, or if she has to overcome any kind of challenge to learn and grow. ( Mia technically didn't even call her out on it, she just misinterpreted 🤣 )

Maybe we'll see her convictions put to the test in the future? Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to more.

Mia fortune in misunderstanding situation is no joke.. I wish i had that power.. Hahaha.. Blabbering anything, then voila everyone got it on a light side

i loved how she almost always conveniently misunderstood by others

i'm starting to wonder whether there will be actually anyone who can see through her in the future

at least there are still no such people till ln vol 2

then again its her actual nature to be a coward, and her experience in the previous timeline teach her the importance of kindness too

Sasuga Mia-sama.
And really, Mia did nothing wrong. It's just that people around her in the previous timeline misunderstood her in a bad way, while now they misunderstanding her in a good way.
Spoiler from LN vol 2:
I'm glad that almost all people from the previous timeline meet poetic justice after her execution and the whole continent got in the gutter.

Mia: I can practically feel the guillotine lurking behind me...!!

Guillotine: *trying to eat Mia food from behind"

😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Don't let her change of heart make you forget that she's a member of the old regime.

Robespierre and the Guillotine are always watching

EVERYONE in this is terrible somehow, especially Mia, though her specific terribleness is sloth, gluttony, and active incompetence.....the main difference between then and now is both fear for her life and that she managed to establish a better reputation to start with allowing people to misinterpret her in good ways rather then the reverse. And even then mostly just barely. If she didn't have her reputation as 'the wisdom of the empire' Rafina wouldn't have considered her spacing out over tomatoes as referring to their current situation and instead would have thought she was trying deflect the conversation away from punishing them or something.
