@Esor Yes that’s the villain the MC needs to exterminate. But the villain is not complete at this stage, only a small fragment of him/his power broke away from the seal according to his dialogue in the last page

Oh wow a defenseless shrine that sealed a part of an evil god. What convenient plot point~

This part actually took place later in the WN, but for those that want to now
that stone is a fragment of the item that was used to seal the evil god, however in the WN the fragment didn't show up until after his territory that he was granted developed somewhat and it was in a dungeon near the city of his territory and the dragon was an ancient dragon that was asked by the hero to protect the fragment and when he meet Cain could sense the divine dragons power on him

Super secret seal and demon stone should probably be put somewhere that us hard to reach, or maybe have a locked door 🙃

New Gate had a pretty good monster flood. Also wonder if that female duo of adventurers will show up? I think they’re at least C-rank by now.

why is the art so decent and professional when the plot is so fucking god-awful boring

The story progresses smoothly, 65k followers, everyone enjoying it and dying for the next chapter. Then @jdexo1 comes, to the 29TH CHAPTER, to say it's "god-awful boring" LOL. Well nvm, Thank you so much for investing not only time and effort, but also your own money for our benefit. @Pam101Nyx

If one ignores the Mary Sue MC, it makes sense that the guard and the butler escorted him.

For two reasons: 1) he is more likely to have conflicting interests, as he is an independent noble and he is no longer affiliated with that family. 2) If he has some grievances with his brother, or does something to the house, they have to sort it like two separate noble houses, and the owner of the house can't just order him around or punish him like a subordinate (and a younger brother would normally be subordinate to the head of the house). So for security reasons it makes sense that he is monitored until the master of the house says he can go around alone.

@YuriIsTooLewd Guiding him for me is more of a noble etiquette or formality. There are a lot of noble etiquette or formality that seems useless(they can do it themselves) like assisting in dressing up even though it is not the type of clothes that require assistance , opening doors, setting up chair etc.
